Our 2024 Joy and Liberation event on June 5, 2024 will include a conversation between two Nashers (participants in our leadership and social justice programming) and a leader we admire. That leader is Dr. Uché Blackstock, a noted physician and speaker, founder of Advancing Health Equity, and author of the instant New York Times Best-seller LEGACY: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine. We also present a Petticoat Award to #NashFam who have been amazing ambassadors for Sadie Nash. This year, we are presenting this award to our former Board co-chairs and longtime supporters, Pooja Joshi and Steph Gromek. We will honor Virginia Thomas, a litigation law clerk at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, who is passionate about equity and inclusion for low income New Yorkers, with the Unstoppable Alumna Award. Finally, we are thrilled to present our first ever Community Partner award to Victoria Foundation, an institutional funder who has led the way in forging partnerships with communities in Newark, NJ in service of justice and equity.

If you can't make it to the event, you can support Sadie Nash Leadership Project with a donation in honor of this occasion. Thank you for your contribution to building a world in which Nashers can thrive!
